Leda Lake Eco Park

Leda Lake Eco Park is  a 10 acre park located a few steps from The Nordic Inn.  With its trail system linking up with other trails in the area, such as the Trans Canada Trail, a walking path winding through the trees to a dock on the lake, green space fit for a picnic, and a pump track bike park, Leda Lake Eco Park has something for the whole family.

The Leda Lake Eco Park located at the end of Main Street in Erickson is perfect for all kinds of explorers! There are multiple seating areas to enjoy the view of the lake. Take the accessible trail down to the board walk to immerse yourself in the cattails. There is also a pump track for adrenaline seekers. Hop on the Trans Canada Trail to explore further down the old railway line!

Elk Link Connector Trail

Elk Link Connector Trail

The Elk Link Connector trail runs from highway 45 just north of Erickson all the way up to Onanole. Enjoy scenic views and picnic areas as you hike or bike the trail. If you're feeling really adventurous, make a backpacking or bike trip of it and stay at one of the campgrounds, hotels, or bed and breakfasts along the way! This trail is e-bike friendly.

Trans Canada Trail - Rossburn Subdivision

Trans Canada Trail - Rossburn Subdivision

Hop on the Trans Canada trail at the Leda Eco Park and explore the scenery of the old railway line. Take the Elk Link connector trail up to Onanole on foot or bike.

Trans Canada Trail

The Rossburn Subdivision of the Trans Canada Trail trail follows an old, abandoned railway which makes it a level trail for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing. It also connects to Riding Mountain National Park via the Elk Link Trail. Groomed for snowmobiling in the winter, this trail offers endless year round recreational opportunities!

Proven Marsh

Calling all birders! Located a short 10 minute drive north east of Erickson, you will find Proven Lake. Proven Lake is a Manitoba Heritage Marsh, Wildlife Management Area, and  Important Bird Area. Follow the trail and you may be able to see Yellow Rails, Le Conte’s Sparrows, Bobolinks, and Alder Flycatchers.

Riding Mountain National Park

Just a short drive from Erickson, Minnedosa is a vibrant lakeside community packed with year-round adventure and small-town charm. Spend a summer day exploring local shops, relaxing on the sandy Minnedosa Beach, or enjoying family fun at the play park, Splish Splash Water Park, and Florence Bold Memorial Spray Park. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Squirrel Hills Trail Park, offering scenic mountain biking and hiking trails in the warmer months, and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking in the winter. Ski Valley is also located a short drive north of Minnedosa - who doesn't love spending a day on the slopes skiing or snowboarding! After a day of exploring, unwind at one of Minnedosa’s welcoming restaurants or cafés—perfect for refueling before your next adventure.
